ChicagoLand Lessons Lesson Agreement
ChicagoLand Lessons (CLL) is passionate, committed, and dedicated to each and every student. This lesson agreement has been put in place to promote commitment and progress on the behalf of the student. It forms an important part of the foundation on which each student’s skills will be fully developed and realized.
1. Payment
ChicagoLand Lessons are charged monthly based on a four-‐week month called tuition. Tuition does not need to be consecutive weeks. All tuition payments are due on the last lesson of the prior month. No lessons will be given without pre-payment. Please do not ask if you can pay late.
• Payment reserves the lesson time and must be paid for, even if not attending that first weekly lesson.
• Tuition amount varies depending on program and format.
• Tuition is non-‐refundable.
• Payment methods: Cash, Credit Card, or check. Receipts can be provided.
2. Holidays
*Spring Break, * Winter Break (week of 12/25), *Summer Break, *Fall Break. Arrangements can be made during these breaks.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
When a student schedules a lesson, that time and space is booked to accommodate that student. If the student cannot be present, my allocated time for teaching does not change. Consequently, no refunds or rescheduled lessons will be given for missed lessons whatever the reason -‐ including general illness, conflicts with other interests, activities, holidays outside the scope of the our policy, or transportation issues.
• Due to the increasing number of students and limited teaching time, no make up lessons will be provided. However as a courtesy to you, and provided I’ve been given 24 hours notice, I will send the course objectives and any relevant course materials (including possible audio recordings) of that weeks lesson via email.
4. Lessons will run “based around Finale Dance Studio"
Lessons are based the schedule of Finale Dance Studio with exceptions for scheduled vacation, building closings, and holidays or dates when I may have other musical commitments. In the event that I have to miss a session due to illness or other commitments, I will provide a substitute correspondence lesson consisting of audio, video and written materials.
5. Termination
It is required that a two week notice be given when terminating lessons. Regardless if the student attends the last two sessions, the student is required to pay for these lessons. I reserve the right to terminate any student for any reason I see fit, including but not limited to, lack of payment, excessive cancellations, disruptive behavior, and insufficient effort or lack of progress due to lack of practice. All students will be held accountable for their own personal results.
6. Copyright and Redistribution
ALL course materials provided by ChicagoLand Lessons are copyrighted and the property of CLL and are intended for the individual students’ use ONLY. No redistribution or other means of sharing these materials is permitted. Purchasing lessons does not give you any ownership of the information, or rights to distribute it in any manner without the consent of Paul Kuchar. Failure to comply may result in termination of lessons and possible legal action.
7. Media Ownership Rights
ChicagoLand Lessons reserves ownership and the rights to any and all video and audio recordings used in the programs and these materials are only shared with the student as added value materials. No redistribution or copying of recorded materials is permitted without expressed permission.
8. Communication
Email is the primary form of communication for ChicagoLand Lessons. It is the responsibility of the student, and or parents of younger students, to regularly check the email addresses that have been provided to us. All important information regarding student lessons is sent via email. No responsibility will be taken by CLL if messages are not read.

Students must arrive on time. All lessons will start on time regardless if the student is late or not, for the benefit of those students who have arrived on time. Lessons will finish a few minutes before the scheduled time to allow for a smooth change over between students and classes.
